Formula Calculator for iPhone

Index > Creating constants

A constant is a number that you may use often. It can be represented by a name and saved. Two built-in constants are pi and i. You use these in any expressions. Constants can also be used in functions that you define.

To create your own constants, press the Constants button, select new. The Constant Description text field appears where you type the name of your constant, its value and a description of it. Press ok to save it or Cancel to discard it.

To delete a saved constant, press the Constants button, select the name of your constant. At the top of the screen you have the option of editing the constant and its description or deleting it.

You can use any name for a constant, consisting of alphanumeric characters. But the name must be unique and cannot begin with a number. Note that Formula calculator distinguishes between lower and upper case letters.
